Karen Rogers(8/12/2012 9:23:11 PM) To read this review makes me wonder if the reviewer and I attended the same show. As an avid theater goer, I have seen many "works in progress" and Standby shows a tremendous amount of potential. Your critique of the music baffled me as I thought there were many note worthy musical moments. In particular, the duet by John and Cynthia was beautiful- both musically and through the actors' performance. No credit was given for the amazing harmonies executed by the cast. In fact this review was way off base with the assessment of all the actors. I related to most of the characters and found the portrayals anything but "shallow and pedestrian."
